Continuing on our journey through the “clairs,” let me ask you this: are you a “gut” feeler? Someone who picks up messages through more than just your email? Do you sense things through your body in the form of emotions and hunches?
If you answered “yes” then you may be clairsentient which means clear feeling. It is the “Jedi force” that Luke Skywalker learned to use and trust. This is a very physical way to receive intuitive guidance.
If you are using this clair you may get a gut feeling, or tightened muscles in your stomach, jaws, or back. You might receive a hunch to do something or feel goose bumps, light headed or butterfly sensations in your body. Perhaps you have a sinking or nauseous feeling that signifies things are not working out. Perhaps you are empathic and are very sensitive to the feelings and moods of those around you, which is an important thing for you to know so you can protect yourself from negative energy.
If you find yourself saying things like, I have a good feeling about this or I have a hunch that something great is about to happen, you have had a moment of clairsentience.
If this sounds like you, here are some ways to practice using the force:
~ Imagine it out in front of you when driving through a parking lot to help you “sense” parking spots.
~ If you are lost, ask for guidance about where to go and follow the hunch or feeling you receive.
~Imagine being surrounded by a bubble of white or blue light. Be sure it encases your energy field (about 2 feet all around you) and see it glow. This will protect you from picking up the feelings of others.
~ Ask a friend to write something on a piece of paper, fold it up and hand it to you. Now, hold the paper, close your eyes, take a deep breath, and ask your feelings what is written on this paper? Notice your physical and emotional reactions. You may get a detailed response or a feeling such as happiness or sadness. This reaction tells you the general sense of what is written. Open the paper to see what your clairsentience is telling you.
This is an intuitive style that needs you to notice your feelings and sensations but not judge them. Judging shuts down our intuition faster than you can slam a door.
Hi Tara,
I love this clair. It seems to be my strongest one.
And I hope people will try the question on the paper exercise. When we did it in your workshop, people were amazed at what people picked up.
take care.
